Renovation of a historical bookshop in the Prati district of Rome.
The typological innovation lies in creating a bookshop, a library and a coffee in the same space.
On the ground floor there is the bookshop and the municipal library desk, whose books are kept on the upper level.
On the lower level, the space is partly intended for bookcases, which uses the environment for exhibitions and presentations; and partly used as a reading room and tasting room.
In the space there is a Wi-Fi network with the possibility of access to the Library Network of Rome.
The environment is characterized by the pre-existing vaults, which following the project idea have been completely cleaned up by the plaster to bring to light the underlying brick surface. The brick texture gives a rustic connotation to the environment, strongly characterizing the space.
